Cigna-Covered Services

Depending on your plan, your Cigna card may cover these visits at our office:

• Primary care for annual physicals, preventive screenings, and sick visits
• Primary care for diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol management
• Internal medicine for ongoing blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and chronic condition management
• Dermatology for skin conditions, mole checks, and medical skin exams
• Mental health visits for evaluation, medication questions or management when appropriate, and referral planning for therapy or counseling when needed
• Podiatry for foot and ankle problems and diabetic foot exams
• Lab services drawn and processed on-site

Copay and coinsurance amounts depend on the plan your employer selected. The front desk can check what the plan reports before your appointment, though an eligibility response is not a guarantee that a service will be paid.

Before You Come In

Cigna HMO members: You need a referral from your PCP before seeing a specialist. Call Cigna to ask whether a Moses Medical provider can be selected as your PCP under your product. Once your PCP is on file, the care team can write referrals at your visit.

Cigna PPO members: PPO plans generally let you book a specialist without a referral. You still pay less when you stay in-network, so check your plan’s network before you book.

Cigna Medicare Advantage members: Your plan may cover services beyond Original Medicare, including dental, hearing, vision, and fitness programs. Log into myCigna.com or call 1-800-997-1654 to check.

Bring your Cigna ID card and a photo ID to your first visit. The team can tell you what the plan reports before you see a provider. If any service needs prior authorization, staff can file the paperwork, and Cigna decides the outcome.

Benefits Cigna Members Leave on the Table

Your annual wellness visit is usually covered in full. Federal rules require most employer plans to cover in-network preventive care at no cost to you, so confirm network status first. The annual wellness visit is separate from a sick visit. It includes blood work and age-based screenings. One checkup a year is the cheapest way to stay ahead of problems.

Mental health visits may be covered. Mental health visits may include evaluation and medication management when appropriate. Therapy or counseling coverage and referral options depend on your plan; call with your insurance card to confirm.
